as prior to Setzer’s post office, individuals were hired to deliver and retrieve mail from a nearby post office. Plotts post office was located 5 miles outside the valley. Setzer then needed to name the post office, and after several names were submitted and few rejected the building was named. John Setzer named the post office after his daughter, Maggie.

West setting. Maggie Valley also offers motorcycle enthusiasts a piece of history with the All American Transportation Museum. The museum features more than 250 rare American motorcycles and automobiles. Maggie Valley

the hundreds of miles of scenic driving routes for motorcyclists
winding through the surrounding mountains.
